CXM22 is dimensionally identical and uses all of the same accessories as the popular CLU048 chips.
CXM22 gen 4 is a nominal 50V COB which can operate up to a maximum of 3500 mA (approximately 198W). Best efficiency is seen below 75W with this chip. This chip offers superior efficiency to a CXB3590 and Citizen 1818 of the same color temperature. CXM22 Gen4 are approximately 6-8% more efficient than Gen3 at same wattage
Can be mounted directly via handy mounting holes, for solderless option this chip uses Ideal Holder 50-2204-CT (best for series installs where overall voltage exceeds 150W) or BJB holders for CLU048 (good for parallel installs)
Chips require thermal paste or pads and proper heatsink for operation
Precut Arctic thermal pads are available for the CXM22 and CLU048 series here

(please note that efficacy reported in “lumens/watt” is slightly lower for 90 CRI chips (relative to 80CRI) because of the different spectrum, which contains a higher proportion of red spectrum (“lumen”) is a visible light measurement centered on the green portion of spectrum. When weighted against McCree curve, 80 and 90 CRI chips offer similar PAR activity to each other.)
